Spring into Seussical Jr. at Shelby County Arts Council!
The cast hard at work learning the opening number to Seussical Jr., “Oh The Thinks You Can Think”
Dr. Seuss- everyone’s heard the name. They’ve heard the rhymes, read the books, and seen the movies. But have you ever seen the world of Dr. Seuss brought to life on stage? Your once in a life-time opportunity is coming up this Spring at The Corner Theatre at SCAC! This Spring, the youth theatre at SCAC will be performing Seussical Jr. May 2nd at 2:00 PM and 7:30 PM. This will be The Corner Theatre’s first youth theatre production with director Lena Rios, or as the kids call her, Ms. Lena. If you have never seen Seussical Jr., much less heard of it, go ahead and mark your calendars for May 2nd! Word on the street is that you do NOT want to miss this Seuss extravaganza.

At the time of this post, the cast and crew are already hard at work for two weeks. With auditions over and the characters cast, the kids already have two and a half songs memorized! “Oh The Thinks You Can Think”, the big opening number, has been stuck in Assistant Director Reagan Parrot’s head since day one. The energizing and catchy song sets the stage for the world of Seussical Jr. by introducing you to a colorful cast of characters. The Cat in the Hat, JoJo the Boy, Horton the Elephant are only a few recognizable characters you can catch. If you want to put a face to who is who for this production, keep an eye out on our new Facebook page. Click here to check us out! In the meantime- enjoy this rather unspectacular but functional cast list released week 1!
