SCAC @ Old Mill Square Update!
Construction is moving along at the new Shelby County Arts Center at Old Mill Square! The dry wall is up inside the building and painting has begun. Beginning in July the SCAC staff will start packing and cleaning out the current facility. Art camp and music lessons will continue in the current facility through July. For the month of August the all art and music classes at the SCAC will be suspended while we move and get settled into our new space. All classes, workshops and events will fully resume in September in the brand new state-of-the-art facility! We are so excited for everyone to see our new teaching spaces specifically designed with artists and musicians in mind.
The Black Box Theater and Ebsco Fine Art Gallery will open by mid-August.
Ticket sales for Sean of the South (August 17th) and Three on a String (August 24th) will go on sale by mid-July! We have recently acquired new ticketing software and now ALL Black Box Theater goers will be able to purchase reserved seats for shows! This will streamline the ticket purchasing process for everyone and we are excited to get it fully functional. We will announce when tickets go on sale via Facebook and email newsletters.
