Virtual Workshop-Basic Cold Wax with Alisa Koch

Create mystery and visual depth using cold wax medium in your artwork with artist Alisa Koch. You will learn about this popular medium and how to use it with oil paints. This timeless medium is so versatile that no matter what your style of art may be, you will find it to be easily introduced in your studio. Mark making tools and a variety of substrates will be discussed. Varied applications and methods will be reviewed Although you will not complete a piece of art, you will create many foundations that can be built upon. There will be ample time for discussion and questions.
Students will work through techniques as being demoed by the instructor. Class is offered by ZOOM and limited to 20 participants.

Oil paints – red, yellow, blue, white
Various brush sizes and types
Cold wax medium 4 oz. Dorlands or Gamblin
Canvas multiple cheap smaller sizes
Canvas boards multiple smaller sizes
Spray bottle with mineral spirits
Any mark making tools
Paper towels – viva and cheap ones for clean up
Plastic grocery bags
