The Shelby County Arts Council hosts two Juried art shows each year.

  • Statewide High School Student Juried Show is held in the Spring of each year and is open to 10th, 11th and 12th grade students from across the state.
  • Annual Adult Juried Arts Show – The adult juried art shows for 2017-2019 will be themed  “History as Art” and be part of the statewide events leading up to the 200th Anniversary of Alabama.  Entries

 

CALL FOR ART  -STATEWIDE HIGH SCHOOL JURIED ART SHOW

Deadline for Entry is: March 8, 2018   –  Exhibit Awards Ceremony April 22, 2018 (2-4 pm) 

COMPLETE THE FORM BELOW AND UPLOAD A PHOTO FOR CONSIDERATION.

Students in 10th, 11th and 12th grade may submit up to two pieces of artwork for consideration in the Annual Statewide High School Juried Art Exhibit. Entries must be received by the deadline in order to be considered by the Juror. No Late Entries will be Accepted. Students will be notified of the Jurors decision via email to the email address used to submit their application. Students understand and approve that the image of their artwork may be used by the Shelby County Arts Council and their sponsoring partners in marketing materials (including social media, printed materials, etc) for the purpose of promoting the Annual Statewide High School Exhibit in the current and future years.

High School Juried Art Show

  • All image files must be named with artist’s last name (underscore) first name, followed by (underscore) entry number. DO NOT include any other information in the file name, such as title of work, etc. Primary image: Lastname_firstname_1.jpg Detail image: Lastname_firstname_1detail.jpg Example: Jones_Mike_1.jpg Jones_Mike_1detail.jpg Jones_Mike_2.jpg Digital images should be sent as JPGs, 72dpi, measure 1200 pixels on the longest side, and saved at “high” quality.
