2017 Winners Statewide High School Juried Art Exhibit

A full house was on hand to view and celebrate the winners of the 2017 Statewide High School Juried Art Exhibit.  Jared Ragland and Doub Baulos of UAB and Micheal Willett of  the University of Montevallo were among the crowd speaking to students about the Art programs at their respective schools.

Congratulations to this year’s winners!  Over 300 entries were received for this year’s competition.  Judge, Doug Baulos of the UAB Department of Art and Art History, narrowed the submission to 51 chosen for the show.  Please join us in congratulating the top students.

Best in Show – Sarah Kim, James Clemmons High School

Best of Mixed Media – Macey Miller, Mountain Brook High School

Best of 3D Design – Sydney Williams, St. Paul’s Episcopal School

Best in Photography – Caroline Myers, St Paul’s Episcopal School

Best of Drawiing  – Hadley Gilmore, Athens High School

Best of Painting – Sarah Kim, James Clemmons HIgh School
