Born and raised in Columbiana, an avid quilter with over four decades of experience in hand and machine quilting. Just love quilting—-in my blood—I come from a family of quilters: momma, aunts and sisters.
My Momma taught me to sew at an early age. First award was First Place in Sewing in 4H in elementary school. I have attended sewing and quilting technique classes locally, Sewing Expos in Georgia and Birmingham, Montgomery and appraisal classes in Paducah, Kentucky (Instructor Gerald Roy).
My quilts have won awards locally and the state level. I am a quilter, writer (quilt documentation book to be published later this year), quilt appraiser, and Co-founder and Co-leader of Columbiana Quilts 4 Kids. We host a Second Saturday Workshop to make patchwork quilts for seriously ill and abused children.
I am a member of the Birmingham Quilters Guild, Gulf States Quilting Association, the National Quilt Association, American Quilters Society and the American Quilters Study Group.
