Art in Alabaster! New classes in April
Here we grow again! The Shelby County Arts Council is excited to annouce our newest partnership with the Shelby County school system's Adult Enrichment.. Joining the Enrichment Program at the Shelby County Instructional Center located in Alabaster, Alabama is part of our plan to "Bring the Arts to Shelby County". The SCAC is continuously exploring and evaluating the need for quality art education resources for area residents. Our instructors are professional artists, established in their respective fields, who want to enrich the life of each student they teach.
Expresso Yourself is an Adult Education Enrichment Class at the Shelby County Instructional Center on Hwy 31 in Alabaster. Instructor, Debbie Sullivan, will lead you step by step through the evening's featured artwork. Debbie is an accomplished artist and is currently leading painting classes in the Alabaster area. She has lead workshops for other local "painting" facilities in the Birmingham Area. This fun class will inspire you to get in touch with your inner-artist. Bring a friend and enjoy yourself in our wholesome atmosphere. We will begin on April 2, 2012 and offer a class the first Monday of each month. As demand for the program expands we will be adding classes and offerings.
To register online for a class you may visit our website www.shelbycountyartscouncil.com and click on available classes. Individuals may also visit the Instructional Center or the Shelby County Arts Council office to register in person. The class fee $35.00 and includes all materials.
